A new page to cope with the increasing amount of celebrity owned Rivieras I'm
being told about.
 |
As promised a few more pictures of Robert Plant's
Riviera. Heres a picture of the headlining, normally not a very
interesting aspect of the car but this one has been signed by the man
himself! |
 |
Here's the front view. Its a nice example in pale metallic
blue with a white (!) vinyl roof. |
 |
This is the rear view showing the unusual detail of
continuing the vinyl roof down into the boattail detail of the boot |
 |
Final detail of proof, if it were needed, is this nicely
doctored copy of Robert Plants registration document. Just one question
remains, why did you sell it Robert? |

1965 Riviera which was recently for sale, but I
think is gone now. Allegedly once belonging to Siouxsie and the Banshees. |
 |
This is a '79 Riviera which Richard recently rescued after
about 11 years in storage. It has had the bonnet lengthened to incorporate
those spare wheel carriers, and in the extra length there is an extra bit
of boot space, handy to put your spare pair of spats and keep your violin
case presumably. |
 |
Its also had the boot shortened by about 6 inches to
complete the Cruella De Ville look (as Richard says)! Apparently this was
work carried out by a professional company making 'neo-classics' out of
modern luxury cars. Rumour has it that this might have belonged to Marvin
Gaye though Richard has yet to confirm this. |
 |
This is a 64 Riviera owned by Dusty Springfield. In the
picture is Carole Gibson who sent the pictures to Larry Launstein, who has
loads of other Dusty
related stuff at his site dedicated to her. |
 |
Here's Dusty sitting in the Riv, just signing Caroles copy
of her album.
Larry also has some Buick related information on his site including
Buick artwork from Buicks 100th anniversary show, which can be purchased
from his site. |
