Take a look at some of the Rivera's I've spotted out and about or had sent in to me. Click on the picture to enlarge.

63Riv.jpg (99135 bytes) 63 Riviera. The first to be produced as a model in its own right. Sent in by Steve from Palm Springs. He's had it 21 years and is only the second owner! It has a 63 only option of black leather & wood veneer interior, nice! Look out for his 76 Riv a bit further down the page, a very rare & unappreciated model.
65_riviera.jpg (13480 bytes) '65 Riviera. A very nice example of the early shape. Seen at Notts Americana 2000 and Billing 2002.
66_riviera.jpg (10917 bytes) Typical(?) Florida street scene showing a '66 Riviera.
turqriv.jpg (224329 bytes) Came across one I hadn't seen for ages at Billing 2002 Summernationals. Its a 66 and its been owned by the same bloke for 26 years! Thats dedication to the mark. Sorry I don't know his name, but perhaps when he gets on the net and hopefully finds this site he'll send some details.
68RivieraJason.jpg (28672 bytes) Jason from the States sent in this picture it looks an absolute peach. Looking at the scenery it looks like the ideal place to own this type of car to!
68_riviera.jpg (15565 bytes)

shawn68GS.jpg (34126 bytes)

'68 Riviera, well known on the UK show scene, and featured in Classic American magazine.

Here's another 68. This time from Grand Rapids Michigan. Its owner Shawn says its 'like riding on a cloud' and him and his brother who owns a '64  think they're the best cars in the world, and who are we to disagree with that?

GS69.jpg (33711 bytes) This is Graham's 1969 ex California car. He says it never fails to start or put a smile on his face, lets hope we're not tempting fate and long may it continue to make him smile!
Riviera701.jpg (347063 bytes) This is a 1970 Riviera sent in by its owner Eamon from Ireland. So this would be the second one we know about. Its awaiting some work which Eamon hopes to start when he's sorted his garage out. It'll have to be a big one because he also owns a '59 Chevy and an Olds station wagon! Is that the rear of a Harley you haven't mentioned Eamon?
Riviera703.jpg (120429 bytes) The cars been owned for about 11 years and I'm told is mint and original inside. The long term plan is for a respray and some new wheels.
70rivft.jpg (110606 bytes) 70rivsd.jpg (114201 bytes) 70rivrr.jpg (124442 bytes)

Roys Riviera is a rare 1970 model, he's had it 5 years and is carrying out a steady restoration. He's done some re wiring and had quite a bit of chrome re-done (no small task!). This year model had the 455ci (7.5litre) V8, with a 4 barrel carb. With a 3 speed turbo hydromatic transmission, Roy reliably informs me that "it really shifts (in a straight line)" and is a dream to drive. If you know of any other 1970 models in the UK let me know, I haven't seen another nor has Roy.

Riviera171.jpg (178668 bytes) Riviera271.jpg (145565 bytes) Riviera371.jpg (168553 bytes)

1971 Boattail Riviera, blue with white vinyl roof. This one belongs to Janice. Its undergoing a rolling restoration and has so far had a respray and some re-chroming done

boattailrivstage1.jpg (72031 bytes)

Another '71 at The Autumn nationals, but this one is the rarer Stage 1   which means it has the GS option. Horsepower was 345 and the engine was a 455ci.
71_riviera.jpg (13053 bytes)

'71 Riviera boattail at Billing Aquadrome quite a few years ago.

alvino's82Riv.jpg (19778 bytes) Alvino's 82 Riviera. Definitely a one off here, the only Riviera to be produced as a convertible, I think. Although rumour has it there were a few conversions produced. I wonder if there are any left?
Riv82.jpg (85416 bytes)  "You don't see too many of these around!  Here's my '83 T-Type.
A 3.8 L Turbo Charged V-6.  The car is absolutely original, even the paint." So says the American  owner of this very nice example. If you don't see many in America you certainly see very few over here. I think this one is greatly overlooked, maybe its time is yet to come.
Franks95Riviera.jpg (39671 bytes) FranksRivr.jpg (23535 bytes) FranksRivs.jpg (25005 bytes)

These picture sent in by Frank from the US. They are of his very recently acquired 95 Riviera, which he is very happy with, and who wouldn't be? This model is the last incarnation of the Riviera name and shows the way most American cars have adopted styles (and sizes) that wouldn't look out of place on British roads. If only they would let us have them over here in right hand drive!
